SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION

SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION

Bible: Isaiah 55:8-11

My word . . . will not return to me empty (Isaiah 55:11)

Have you heard of the “Six Degrees of Separation”? It’s the idea that each of us is only five relationships away from anyone else in the world. Imagine that! You might only be five people away from the most powerful and influential people in the world! This is an unproven theory, of course. However, there is something else that definitely links us to others around
the world: the Bible and the love of God.

Some years ago, I got an email from a guy who I had never met, telling me that a note I had sent to a nearby friend had found its way to him (through a chain of other people), and it had encouraged him in a dark time.

It may be that a simple encouragement you offer in love, guided by the wisdom of God, will have a deep and unending impact in someone else’s life (who you may never meet). Should we not then fill ourselves with the Bible’s teaching and encouragement so we can pass it on to others with the prayer that God will use it for His good purposes around the world? (ISAIAH 55:11).

What I’m thankful for . . .

Thank You, Father, that You use our good works and loving actions in ways we could never imagine. Thank You that in heaven we’ll hear about all the unseen ways You used our lives to bring others into Your family!

WE DON’T KNOW HOW GOD WILL USE OUR LIVES,
BUT WE KNOW HE WILL
