KNOCKED OFF YOUR FEET?
Bible: Psalm 116:1-6
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in
trouble (PSALM 46:1)

We live in a world of loss. From everyday things like losing our phones or keys, to much more significant losses of people we love and relationships we’ve relied on. Whenever we face losses, both big and small, they can knock us off our feet and leave us feeling all alone as the ‘normal’
world seems to just continue around us.
Yet what I’ve realised is that when we are knocked off our feet by life’s difficulties, we need to remember that “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble” (PSALM 46:1). That’s reason enough to get back up again. One Christian friend was thinking about this when he felt really low. He asked himself, “Why don’t I get back on my feet again?” Then he recognised that he could keep going because “I know God understands it all.” When trouble knocks us down, we can look up. God is there. He understands and cares. It’s not easy, but we can trust Him to help us get back on our feet again.
What I’m thankful for . . .
Thank You, Father, for always being with me, loving me, caring for me and promising to walk each step beside me.
THERE IS NO PLACE WE CAN GO THAT GOD
