HELP IS ON THE WAY

HELP IS ON THE WAY

Bible: Revelation 2:12-17

I know where you live—where Satan has his throne. Yet you
remain true to my name (Revelation 2:13).

When 33 miners were trapped in a Chilean mine deep under the earth’s surface, they must have felt totally lost, doomed to a slow and painful death. Imagine how they must have been so unbelievably happy when they got a message from above that a team knew exactly where they were and that the rescue had already begun!

There are times in all of our lives when we feel like we’re stuck in a really bad place. Anxious and alone, we feel we are out of options and that no one understands. But in such moments we need to remember God’s comforting words to the first Christians who were hated because they followed Jesus: “I know where you live” (REVELATION 2:13). Their situation had not escaped their
heavenly Father’s attention. And as they relied on Him, He would support them until He rescued them and brought them safely home (V.17).

God knows exactly where we are and He is very much aware of any difficult situations we face. Because of this we can have the confidence and strength needed to live for Him. So be encouraged. Remember God’s words of comfort. Help is on the way!

To Pray about . . .

You know the struggles that we face, God. You know just what we need to keep going. Give us the confidence to trust You because of Your goodness and to keep our eyes on You. Amen.

WE KNOW GOD WILL RESCUE US, BECAUSE HE ALREADY HAS!
