DEEP SPACE

A group of scientists are looking up, but not to God. They have ‘worked out’ that as many as fifty million civilisations may exist somewhere in space, and they believe that some of them may have even invented ways to improve our lives and hold off death.

These scientists beamed a message to the outer edge of our galaxy. But even if that signal were picked up, they estimate that it would take 48,000 years for an answer to come back.

To Christians, these efforts seem crazy. Yet those scientists are serious about their efforts, while we—who do have contact with ‘another world’— sometimes act as if our prayers are not heard. Every child of God can talk freely with the Creator and King Himself! We have close, personal 24/7 access to the One who stretched out all the galaxies. He hears us the instant we pray and answers in His perfect timing. Through the privilege of prayer, every Christian can come to One who is all-powerful, who listens in heaven, who meets our needs perfectly and is with us in all things.

We can send our messages to heaven with confidence, because we know personally that God listens—and it won’t take 48,000 years for us to get His answers!
