JESUS IS COMING
Bible: 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God. 1 Thessalonians 4:16

I heard one Christian speaker once say, “The topic of the Jesus’ return in the New Testament is like a mountain range that takes over the whole view of the landscape.”
He went on to say, “No matter what road you take, no matter what paths you tread, you will find the mountain bursting on your vision at every turn of the way, and at every parting of the hills. What first struck me in reading the New Testament was this: whatever topic, issue or passage I was thinking about, I found it always pointing me towards (and being fulfilled by) Jesus’ return. Everything in the Christian life and the Bible’s teaching leads to that mountain.”
Did you know that there are more than 300 references to Jesus’ return in the New Testament? One fact is clear—Jesus is coming back. Each day we are getting closer to that moment. Today could be the day!
Are you ready? Knowing that Jesus could return at any moment is a great hope and a comfort to all who trust in Him (1 THESSALONIANS 4:18; 5:11; TITUS 2:13). But He is also coming in fiery judgement on those who don’t know Him and who reject the gospel (2 THESSALONIANS 1:7-9). If you have trusted Jesus, there is nothing to fear in His return—but it gives us a real sense of urgency to share the gospel with the people we know. RDH
