The right place

The right place

Bible:Romans 11:33-36

Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How
unsearchable his judgements, and his paths beyond tracing out! (V.33).

Reading

I was stressed out and got up during the night to pace the floor and pray. To be honest, my attitude wasn’t great—even though I was praying. I was full of frustration towards God. What was He doing? Why was this even happening? Not getting any answers, I slumped down by the window and stared out at the night sky. I found myself looking up at Orion’s belt—those three bright stars which are often easy to spot on clear nights. I remembered that those three stars, forming a perfect line in the sky, are actually hundreds of light-years apart. I realised that if I were to get closer to those stars, they would look less and less like they were in a line. Yet far away as I was, they looked carefully placed in the heavens. At that moment, I realised I was too close to my life to see what God sees. In His big picture, everything is in its right place. The apostle Paul, as he wrote a summary of the purposes of God, broke into a hymn of praise (ROMANS 11:33-36). His words lift our eyes to our King, whose ways are far better and way beyond our small ability to understand Him (V.33). The One who holds all things together in the heavens and on earth is totally involved with every detail of our lives (MATTHEW 6:25-34; COLOSSIANS 1:16). “The
plans of the Lord stand firm for ever” (PSALM 33:11), even when our days—and nights—feel chaotic and overwhelming.

GOD’S PLANS MIGHT BE HARD TO UNDERSTAND,
BUT THEY ARE ALWAYS GOOD.
