All kinds of weather

All kinds of weather

Bible: Acts 18:9-11

Reading

I am with you always, to the very end of the age (MATTHEW 28:20).

When Jesus sent His followers out, He gave them this promise: “I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (MATTHEW 28:20). Here, the word “always” means “all the days”. Jesus didn’t simply say “always” but “all the days”. That includes everything we do and everywhere we go. And it’s just as true on dark, wet, miserable days as it is on bright, sunny days when everything seems fantastic. Jesus is with us no matter what each day brings. It may be a day of happiness or sadness, of illness or feeling great, of doing well or badly. No matter what happens to us today, Jesus is walking beside us, strengthening us, loving us, filling us with trust, confidence and love. As we focus on Him and the security He gives, our worries, stresses and doubts can start to take a back seat. With Him next to us and even in us, we can keep going through anything. We know God is here, just as He told Paul in Acts 18:10, “I am with you.” When things are hard, stop. Take a time out to say to yourself, “Jesus is here.” And pray that you will see Him who is invisible—and see Him everywhere.

SEEK THE LORD WHILE HE MAY BE FOUND,
CALL UPON HIM WHILE HE IS NEAR. ISAIAH 55:6
