Safe forever

Safe forever

Bible: Psalm 34:8-22

Reading

In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the
                                                  world (JOHN 16:33).

Amy was taking her dog for a walk when she saw a young guy run into a nearby alley. A car followed. The guy grabbed a huge piece of wood from a bin and started swinging at the car. Amy froze. She was caught in a gang fight.Suddenly, the driver of the car tried to get away by reversing hard. He
slammed into Amy. She landed on the boot and was thrown into the street. Amazingly, she wasn’t seriously hurt. Later, she tried to make sense of what had happened and to turn it around to make it seem good. She said: “Bad things happen—terrible and horrible things. Good things happen—amazing and brilliant things. And all this happens randomly to us. But it is not random to the God who walks with us. He knows suffering will come. But God is bigger than the events that confuse and upset us.” We will all go through sickness, accidents, sadness and death. But we are not on our own. God is in control. “The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all” (PSALM 34:19). We can beconfident that one day we will be safe with Him forever.

GOD IS ALWAYS IN CONTROL BEHIND THE SCENES.
