A place to stand

Jesus Christ (V.11)
We were snorkelling in the Caribbean Sea on holiday. The boat that had taken us to the deep water had gone back to shore. Suddenly I began to feel panicky about being in the open water. Finding it hard to control my
breathing, I asked my friends for help. They held my arms while I searched for coral reef close enough to the surface for me to stand on. Once I had a place to stand, even though surrounded by deep waters,
I calmed down. Are you feeling a bit panicky about something in your life? Maybe it seems like you’re surrounded by the open waters of problems, exam stress or simply the messiness of everyday. Do you feel like you’re drowning in everything that’s going on? Here are two things that might help. Firstly, ask a Christian friend or someone at church to help ‘hold you up’ in the water (SEE ECCLESIASTES 4:10), pray for you, talk with you and remind you that you are not alone. Then make sure you stand on the only solid rock in life: Jesus Christ (1 CORINTHIANS 3:11). It’s tough to cope with problems on your own. Get some help to find your footing in Jesus.
BUILD YOUR LIFE ON THE SOLID ROCK
