Love Won’t Stop
Bible: Luke 15:1-7
Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep (V.6).

After I turned nineteen, I moved more than 700 miles away from my mum. One morning, I left my flat early and forgot to take my phone with me. Later that night, two policemen came to my door. Mum had been worried because I’d never missed her calls before. After phoning repeatedly and getting no answer, she called the police and insisted they check on me. One of the police officers turned to me and said, “It’s great to know love won’t stop looking for you.”
I picked up the phone to call my mum. After I said sorry, she said she needed to spread the good news to the family and friends she told that I’d gone missing. I hung up thinking she’d overreacted a bit, though it felt good to be loved that much.
The Bible paints an incredible picture of God, who is Love, relentlessly searching for His lost children. Like a good shepherd, He cares about and seeks out every lost sheep, showing the priceless value of every last one of us (LUKE 15:1-7).
Love never stops looking for us. He will keep searching for us until we’ve returned to Him. We can pray for others who need to know that Love—God—never stops looking for them either.
GOD LOVINGLY LOOKS FOR HIS PEOPLE AND CELEBRATES WHEN WE RETURN TO HIM.
