Warning

Warning

Bible: Ezekiel 18:26-32

I don’t want you to die, says the Sovereign Lord. Turn back and live! (V.32 NLT).

Not long ago a certain make of smartphone was recalled because it kept exploding or catching fire! “Return it to us, it’s dangerous,” the company said. But it was up to the people who bought the phones to listen to the warning and actually return them. Imagine if God put this warning on each of us: “Item is broken and insists on doing its own thing and ignoring good advice. If it cannot be fixed by God, the problem will result in death.”

Through Ezekiel, God said that His people had decided to live without Him (EZEK. 6:9) and had become as hard as rock (11:19). Yet God still wanted them to come back to Him. He cried out to them: “Turn from your sins. Don’t let them destroy you … I don’t want you to die, says the Sovereign Lord. Turn back and live!” (18:30-32 NLT). Today, by turning from sin to God through trusting Jesus Christ, anyone can have a new start. If you feel broken, God is ready to make you
brand new!

TURNING TO GOD IS NOT ABOUT TRYING AGAIN, BUT GETTING A WHOLE NEW LIFE.
