Never Alone

Never Alone

Bible: Ezekiel 18:26-32

I don’t want you to die, says the Sovereign Lord. Turn back and live! (V.32 NLT).

Have you ever been alone—really alone? Lots of people answer yes because they feel that way every day. I’m not talking about people who live in huts on mountain tops far from anyone else.

I’m talking about people who feel alone in a crowded shopping centre or in a noisy classroom. I’m talking about those of us who just can’t find anyone to connect with. Is this how you feel? Maybe you’ve just moved house or school, and everyone is new and scary. Or maybe you’ve known your classmates for years, but you’ve always felt different and left out somehow.

Have you ever been alone, really alone? If so, there’s good news. If you have asked Jesus into your life as your Saviour and God, you’re never alone. You have Him with you all the time. Here is His promise to us: “I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (MATT. 28:20). Why not have Psalm 139 open on your phone throughout today so you can be reminded that there’s
no place you can go where God is not with you (PS. 139:7).

Sure, we all need people—friends and family and church mates—but let’s not forget the reality that Jesus has made His home in us by His Spirit (JOHN 14:21). With Him, we’re never alone.

GOD WITH US IS ONE OF HIS BEST GIFTS TO US.
